Cybersecurity Careers Blog Cyber news reviews training how to guides

When we launched this blog a few months ago, we did so with the ambition of spreading cybersecurity awareness, training, education, and most importantly—real world career perspectives. With the debut of our podcast, we dive straight into the perspective of Rob Waters, our Founder, and his career into cybersecurity.

Episode 1 introduces listeners to Rob, and his career choices to go from working at an IT help desk to eventually working at Google today as a Customer Engineer.

Rob also touches on the importance of continually pursuing certifications, whether it is CompTIA, Cisco, or whatever specialization you—the listener—aspire to earn. Earning a Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Rob also reflects on the importance that degree gave him, but understands it is not by any means a required choice to make to be successful in this field.

Finally, we realize there are countless cybersecurity podcasts in existence today and we thank you for choosing us to listen to. We want your feedback, so please let us know in the comments below or on Twitter your thoughts! Your feedback will shape future podcasts.

Thanks for tuning in, and we’ll be back with Episode 2 soon.
