The Quad Lock Windshield Mount
The windshield suction mount impressively will not budge and is the best I’ve ever used. It didn’t matter if I was on trails, bumpy roads, construction zones, or hit a bump at highway speed – the mount never budged or showed any sign of coming loose let alone falling off. Years of frustration with inferior mounts were erased with this mount – finally, a suction mount that truly is worth owning and endures the elements.
If you prefer, you can use the included base plate that attaches to your dashboard surface. I prefer the windshield mount location, so I did not test this, although I trust it’s just as performant.
You can also buy different types of mounts if the suction mount isn’t exactly low profile enough for your needs on the Quad Lock website. There is basically an adapter and mount for every type of intended use case, so you’ll need to decide just how bad you want to have your phone mounted in every aspect of your life.

Kits exist for everything from 4x4s, strollers, and golf carts all at a range in pricing. Kits can range from $45-85 at regular price, and you’ll also want to consider if you want MagSafe adapter plates which help wirelessly charge your iPhone while it’s mounted to a Quad Lock mount, or if you’re fine with just plugging in the charging cable at the bottom of your phone as usual.
If you really want to get into the Quad Lock ecosystem on a budget, you can buy universal fit adapters to put on the back of any phone, phone case, or device for greater choices. It won’t look as sleek perhaps as the regular Quad Lock device case, but this is great for people who really want to retain their existing phone case but benefit from the rugged Quad Lock capability across the various kits and activities.
However, as I mentioned at the beginning of this review, you’ll likely waste as much or more money on less durable, lower-quality kits from different brands. So if you want to do it right, jump into the Quad Lock product ecosystem and you’ll be impressed with the results.
